If you're wandering through the charming streets of Loriga, Portugal, make sure to stop by Café O Degrau, located at R. Sacadura Cabral 48B. This delightful café is much more than it appears at first glance; it's a hidden gem that offers a unique blend of café vibes and traditional Portuguese cuisine.

Upon entering, you're welcomed by a cozy atmosphere, where the friendly staff quickly makes you feel at home. The warm colors and inviting decor create an ambiance perfect for both casual coffee catch-ups and hearty meals. With its simple exterior, Café O Degrau might not seem extraordinary, but don’t let that fool you—the charm lies in the experience it offers.

The café is well-known for its mouthwatering sandwiches, particularly filled with delectable presunto (cured ham), fiambre (cooked ham), and queijo (cheese). As Tiago Oliveirinha notes, you can enjoy these satisfying sandwiches bright and early, with the café opening its doors at 6:15 AM. Perfect for breakfast on the go or a leisurely snack.

However, Café O Degrau truly shines with its extensive menu of traditional Portuguese dishes. Paulo André Valente praises the eatery for its ability to prepare authentic meals on pre-order, such as the savory arroz de pato (duck rice), rich bacalhau no forno (oven-baked cod), succulent cabrito assado (roast goat), and hearty carne de porco à alentejana (pork with clams). These carefully crafted dishes evoke the essence of home-cooked meals that can warm the heart and satisfy the appetite.

Customer Carlos Soares echoes this sentiment, highlighting that Café O Degrau is more than just a coffee spot; it’s a place where traditional flavors thrive. The generous portions and consistently friendly service make it an ideal choice for those who appreciate good food without breaking the bank. Whether you're a local or a traveler, enjoying a meal here feels like being welcomed into a family kitchen, complete with a genuine, hospitable environment.

Vanessa Mendes adds a final touch to the charm of this café, noting the excellent, homemade cuisine at affordable prices. It's a gathering spot where the joy of good company meets the pleasure of good food. If you're in Loriga, a visit to Café O Degrau is not just advisable; it's an experience you won’t want to miss. Come for the coffee, stay for the warmth, and leave with a satisfied palate and a smile on your face.

A regressar ;-)
